Navigating Tech Overwhelm in Online Business: Tips from Meagan Bukowski
This episode features Meagan Bukowski, an inspiring entrepreneur who masterfully juggles homeschooling her children and running two businesses. Meagan brings invaluable insights into balancing work and family life, harnessing the power of Facebook ads, and leveraging technology to streamline business operations, to the show.
Finding Balance: Homeschooling and Entrepreneurship
Balancing work and family is a struggle and it has been a continuous process of tweaking and adjusting to find the right balance.
Currently Meagan dedicates the morning hours to focused, uninterrupted work time while her children are engaged in independent activities. This strategic use of morning productivity provides her with a solid block of time to tackle pressing tasks.
She also uses the evening hours after her children have gone to bed to do a bit more work. She works about 20 hours a week these days.
Driving Traffic: The Power of Facebook Ads
Facebook ads is Meagan’s primary customer acquisition strategy. Rather than spreading her efforts across multiple platforms, she finds it beneficial to concentrate on mastering one.
This focused approach has allowed her to optimize and refine her ads, driving substantial traffic and validating her offers.
Meagan also advocates combining paid ads with organic marketing efforts. Using both together provides a traffic boost and helps to quickly validate business ideas and offers, especially for entrepreneurs just starting.
Navigating Tech Overwhelm
Technology can be extremely overwhelming when starting an online business.
Meagan recommends avoiding all-in-one platforms such as Kajabi and Go High Level because they are expensive and can be overwhelming.
Instead focus on platforms that fill specific functions such as Leadpages for building sales pages and Thrivecart for payment processing.
The Low Ticket Offer Funnel Strategy
Meagan’s business model uses a low ticket offer funnel strategy.
She designed her funnel to include order bumps, upsells, and a welcome sequence, ensuring an engaging customer journey. This will have the best results when you are targeting a specific audience with a clear problem you are solving.
Meagan’s main product, the “Are You Fit for Engineering Workbook”, is offered in two tiers. This product addresses a clear need and has proven to be highly successful within her funnel.
Tech Support and Continuous Learning
To support new entrepreneurs navigating the tech landscape, Meagan offers click-by-click instructional courses. These courses help users quickly set up their business tech, minimizing the common frustration associated with learning new systems.
Additionally, her Tech Rescue upsell, which includes a month of tech support, provides an extra layer of assistance for those needing more personalized help.
Meagan also recommends taking advantage of free online tutorials and taking detailed notes for easy reference.
Learning new technology becomes easier with practice!
Whether you are balancing homeschooling with entrepreneurship or looking to master your business tech, Meagan’s experiences offer valuable guidance on your path to business success.
